Meet the BLONG MI Fashions Team

The Team is headed up out of Australia by ourselves, Tony and Sharon. 

 We had the vision to create BLONG MI Fashions as an opportunity to commit to improving the standard of living of the Ni-Vanuatu without affecting their lifestyle and natural environment. As Tony is of New Zealand Maori descent BLONG MI Fashions is sensitive to the Ni-Vanuatu culture and customs. We are frequent travellers to Vanuatu and saw several areas that could benefit from having extra resources provided mainly to do with education, sport and medical.  

Since January 2007 we have been providing Sponsorships/Support in these areas. A major percentage of our profits is put back into the Port Vila Community with our aim for 2010 to provide resources to many of the Other islands of Vanuatu.

  We are a small business not associated with Organisations that promote Fair Trade however we prefer to continue as we are because if we see a cause we think we can help... we can!!! There is no answering to any Committees and it gives us more flexibility.

As some of our Products are exported from Vanuatu, the local industry is not affected in any way and has actually created new opportunities for the local people. Since launching, our main markets at present are USA, India, China, New Caledonia and Australia.

This is about all those people out there who are less fortunate than others but have the will to work toward a better life for their families and most important of all...for their children as they are the Future. If we are helping them achieve their dreams in some small way then our work has been worthwhile.
